A pink plush octopus that a baby wears: the head goes through the opening in the middle, the hood pulls up over the head, and eight long stuffed tentacles spread out from the body in every direction - over the lap of whoever is holding them, or across the blanket when they are laid down for a photo. The pile is plush outside and smoother on the underside of the tentacles, in two shades of pink, so it reads as a creature with arms rather than as one round shape. It slips on over whatever the baby is already wearing, which is the point: two minutes before a picture, a Halloween doorway or a family gathering, then back off again.

Product details:

Design: Pink octopus - hood over the head, eight long stuffed tentacles out from the body
Opening: Head goes through the center hole, the body panel rests over the shoulders
Wear: Slips on over the baby's own clothes, so nothing has to be undressed first
Size: One size - this style is not offered in a range
Color: Two pinks: plush pile outside, smoother fabric under the tentacles
Occasion: Halloween, first photoshoots, family gatherings and everyday cuddles
Also: Works as a nursery photo prop outside October
What is in the box:
- 1 x plush octopus costume

Putting it on:

Step 1: Dress the baby in their usual layer first - the plush piece goes over the top, and a thin base layer keeps the inside from getting warm.
Step 2: Guide the head through the center opening, then pull the hood up so the face stays clear of the fabric.
Step 3: Spread the tentacles out around them instead of tucking them under - the shape is what shows in the photo.

Care instructions:

Spot clean the pile with a damp cloth and let it air dry flat, away from a heater or direct sun.
Do not put it in a tumble dryer - the stuffed tentacles stay damp inside long after the surface feels dry.
This is dress-up and photo wear, not bedding: keep it out of the crib and out of a sleep setup.

Please note: Due to the difference in monitor and light effect, the actual color and size of the item may be slightly different from the visual image. Furthermore, please be noted this is a costume for short, supervised wear. A baby should not be left in it asleep or unattended, and the hood and long tentacles stay out of the crib - soft bedding is a suffocation risk for infants. Adult hands on it the whole time, photo done, back off.
