It is a pop-up canopy over a round floor that holds water, so the same structure is a shaded base camp and a splash pool. On sand, dig a shallow hollow under the base and fill it, and a small child can paddle in the shade. On grass or paving, skip the water and it works as a plain dry shade tent with somewhere to sit.

Mesh panels along the sides move air through the canopy instead of baking it, the fabric is water resistant, and the whole thing folds down small enough to carry with the rest of the beach bag. Children still need an adult watching them in the water and in the sun - the tent makes the day easier, not self-running.

What is in the box:

Setting it up:

Step 1: Lift it out of the bag and let it go - the ribs spring open on their own. New pop-up fabric fights back the first couple of times, so expect it to fold over rather than stand until the coils relax.
Step 2: Turn it so the opening sits out of the wind and the shade falls where you want it, then press the floor edges flat. On sand, dig a shallow hollow for the pool and bank the rim with sand.
Step 3: Run water into the base to a few inches and test the depth with your hand before a child gets in. Tip the water out where it is allowed on the way home, and open the tent to dry before it goes back in the bag.

Care instructions:

Rinse the pool floor with fresh water after salt, sand or chlorinated use, then let the tent dry fully and open before folding. A wet pop-up packed into its bag is where mildew starts.
Wipe the canopy with a damp cloth and mild soap rather than machine washing it, and do not bleach it or iron it - both attack the water-resistant finish.
Fold it back the way it came, most pop-up tents close into a smaller disc than they open to, and forcing them the other way kinks the ribs. Store it dry and out of the sun between trips.

Please note: Due to the difference in monitor and light effect, the actual color and size of the item may be slightly different from the visual image. Furthermore, please be noted this is a shade canopy with a paddling base, not a lifeguard - a child in or under it needs an adult watching the whole time, and a few inches of water is a splash depth rather than somewhere to swim. Shade fabric still leaves a baby exposed in the middle of the day, so keep the hat and sunscreen going and set the opening away from the direct line of the sun.
