Setting it up:

• Step 1: Lift the lights out of the card and keep the card if you are handing them out at a party - it is the part that sits on a place setting or hangs on a hook.

• Step 2: Slip one over the fingertip of the hand you point with until the band grips it, with the lens facing away from the palm.

• Step 3: Switch it on and start about 16 in from a wall; the printed chart marks the outline as clear at 16 in and at 22 in (40 cm and 55 cm).

• Step 4: Sweep the hand to move the shape across the wall, then switch it off before the light goes loose into a bag so it does not run flat in the dark.
