Setting it up:

Step 1: Point it at a wall, a hedge or the side of the house, roughly 33 ft out - closer than that and the dots get big and sparse instead of thick.
Step 2: Push the stake in and screw the bracket to a wall with the 3 screws and the shims, then set the angle: the head tilts through 270 degrees.
Step 3: Run the 15.6 ft cord to a covered outlet, set the timer on the remote, and walk the far side of the yard to check the spread before you call it done.

Care instructions:

The projector takes rain and cold; the outlet and the cord join are the parts to keep out of puddles.
Wipe the lens with a dry cloth before you switch it on - a film of dust is what makes the dots look soft.
Take the batteries out of the remote for storage so they do not leak over the year.

Please note: Due to the difference in monitor and light effect, the actual color and size of the item may be slightly different from the visual image. Furthermore, please be noted this is a plug-in laser projector, not a toy, for ages 14 and up. Aim it across the yard or at a wall, never at the street, a window people sit in, or anyone at eye level, and put it where the plug stays dry - the unit is rated for weather, the outlet it feeds is the thing to protect.
